Who We Are?
With our"Kinship" program, we support single parents in underpriviliged communites. Besides this, our efforts also lies in providing basic education to children, helping improve their lives for a better future.
A Tribute to My Mentor and Inspiration – Lt. Vimla Kaul (Badi Ma’am)
Though she is no longer with us physically, her presence continues to live on in every child she taught, every life she touched, and every dream she helped shape. She was not just a mentor—she was a movement, a mission, and a motherly figure for countless children.
Her life was guided by a simple yet powerful belief:
“Koi baccha ashikshit na rahe, har kisi ko apna naam likhna aana chahiye.” She also believed deeply in dignity and self-reliance: “Kisi bacche ko haath failana na pade… balki padh-likh kar kamyab ho, aur usi haath se dena seekhe – apni dignity ke saath.”
These were not just words for her—they were the foundation of her life’s work.
With unwavering dedication, she stepped into communities, narrow lanes, and chaupals, spreading the light of education not only among children but also among elders. For her, education was not charity—it was empowerment and dignity.
Over the course of her life, she educated more than 1000 underprivileged children, giving them not just knowledge, but confidence, self-respect, and hope for a better future.
To bring her vision to life, she established a literacy centre named “Guldasta”—a beautiful name meaning a bunch of flowers. Just like a bouquet is made of different flowers, she believed every child is unique, valuable, and deserving of care, opportunity, and growth.
Her dedication did not end with her—it became a path for many of us.
Her unwavering commitment inspired the entire Eklavya Path team to walk the same road of service and education. Today, we continue to carry her dreams forward, giving them a new shape and strength through the Eklavya Kinship Program. With every child we reach and every life we support, we are trying to keep her vision alive and growing.
Her journey was one of selfless service, quiet strength, and unconditional love for society. She dedicated her entire life to ensuring that no child was left behind, and that every individual had the opportunity to live with dignity.
Badi Ma’am may not be here today, but her light continues to guide generations. Thank you for giving society not just educated individuals, but confident and dignified human beings.
Your legacy lives on—in every child who learns, grows, and dares to dream.
